Create a new product template.

Create custom product templates to showcase different types of products with unique layouts and design elements tailored to specific product categories.

Access Template Creation

1. Go to Shopify Admin > Online Store > Themes
2. Find your Elevate theme and click Customize

Next, you click on the top navigation bar and select the tab Products in the Templates.

View Existing Templates

You’ll see all created templates for your products listed in this section. Each template can be customized for different product types or categories.

Create New Template

1. Click the “Create template” button at the bottom of the templates list
2. In the template creation dialog:
   • Name: Enter your new template’s name (e.g., “Product style 2”)
   • Based on: Select an existing template that closely resembles your desired new template
3. Click “Create template” to generate the new template

Assign Products to Template

After creating the template, assign specific products to use it:

1. Return to your Shopify Admin dashboard
2. Go to Products and select the product you want to assign
3. In the product’s settings, navigate to Online Store > Theme template (right column)
4. Choose your newly created template from the dropdown list
5. Click Save

Template Management

• Multiple Templates: Create as many templates as needed for different product categories
• Default Behavior: Products without assigned templates automatically use the default template
• Template Assignment: Repeat the assignment process for other products that should use the same template

Your custom product template is now active and will display products with the unique layout and elements you’ve configured.
